blessings sister! I know the writing of a book, the completing it can be challenging; there are road blocks, walls of greatest difficulty, spiritual, physical, emotional, and even sometimes health challenges. In the process, the book can become intensly close, or feel a million miles away... Often mirroring things in our relationship with God, often dstorting... May the path to the completion of Quivering Daughters be smooth, may your heath be strong, may your spirit be strong, you mind clear in dealing with these dark matters, and your emotions ...welll, God help you here to sister.. :) you are loved! This is one of those things that WILL be done in His strength, and HIS time.. you need be anxious for nothing blessings and prayers for you and your family in this journey.. < anika

Hi Hillary, I'm encourage that so many women are finally waking up to these sorts of things. We've all been hoodwinked into "playing roles" instead of living like real human beings. I just finished a small book of my own on power and control in Christianity and am considering exactly how to present it. The treatment of women is part of a larger mindset of what we might call "control freak syndrome" and it is ruining Christianity. BTW, nice site! I'm a web designer and know a good layout when I see one.

i am very much looking forward to reading your book -- best of luck to you. i didn't grow up in a strict, religious home, but i was home schooled and through my mother's journey of trying to discover how we should best live our lives to please god, she did "try out" this lifestyle. it was short-lived, i am pleased to say. however, i did grow up around people like this and saw how dangerous this way of living really is. it's something i witnessed and understand... i truly am looking forward to the day i see your book in stores!!
